Works of art, irrespecitve what form they take, provide us the possibility to get an insight into the structure of connections and relations. The veil drops. Distance forms between our imagination and reality. Nothing is simply what it appears to be and actually it isn’t.
The carrier – be it canvas, aluminium or plexi – become the location for the expression of tense movements and strong emotions.
I am particularily interested in details of faces, be it human or animal. What may lie behind the faces? What does it show and what does it hide? And what do you see when you look at yourself?
My animal portraits revitalise humanity, for example the melancolic snowowl or the cats, the malformed potraits of the hares, the abject effects of who root in their antropomorph, neurotic character.
